Hotel Gracery is one of the most distinctive hotels in Shinjuku. Not only is it located in a neck-straining tower smack dab in the middle of the Kabukicho entertainment district, a life-sized bust of Godzilla looks out over the city from the eighth floor.

The house-sized landmark is a tribute to the legendary movie monster and production company Toho Co., which operates a 12-screen cinema and IMAX theater in the same complex.

Equipped with free Wi-Fi, some of the rooms look out over the massive Godzilla head on the eighth-floor patio. Amenities include feather comforters, Japanese tea, pajamas and toothbrush sets.
There’s also a special Godzilla Room with its own Godzilla statue, wall art depicting the monster’s feet and numerous other features and amenities from the long-running film franchise.
Dining

Bonjour is a café by the lobby that looks out over the Godzilla statue
Bonjour is a “sandwich buffet” and café on the eighth floor in the spacious lobby. It has a limited menu with dishes such as hashed beef and curried rice but more than makes up for that with eye-popping views of the Godzilla head right outside its floor-to-ceiling panoramic window.
Bars, restaurants, karaoke parlors and arcade halls can be found within steps of Hotel Gracery. Kabukicho has enjoyed its share of notoriety as the biggest red-light district in East Asia, but its character is changing with the recent redevelopment including the construction of family-friendly cinemas and the cybernetically themed Robot Restaurant, which attracts many tourists.
Other services
Hotel Gracery also has coin-operated laundry machines, a concierge desk with sightseeing information and a Godzilla merchandise kiosk on the eighth floor.
